Overall it was atmospheric with a very comfortable bed. The location was pleasant, just next door to brewery and Bicester, Blenheim, Oxford & Swindon and next to a church and a palace. The hotel was what I loved during the weekend.

Nice Bar
Room very small, breakfast just Ok, £75.00 for a pub b & b is too expensive.

The staff was very nice. The food was great. The location was ideal for us, as we used it as a stopover to Wales.
The room was extremely narrow and small. We went there with dog. The room was definitively too small for that. We wouldn't spend the night there with the dog anymore.

The homemade curries were great, a real treat for any foodie! Plus, the warm and cozy vibe in the bar area is perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.
But there were some quirky downsides-like a dirty shower and a toilet seat that just wouldn't quit slipping off. A bit of a refresh is definitely needed.

Combination of Indian and traditional cuisine, centrally located for exploring, dog-friendly environment
Room cleanliness is a real concern, with dusty corners and an unwelcoming bathroom!!! A shower that delivers only lukewarm water could use some serious upgrades!!! Parking registration process feels outdated and cumbersome!!! The TV signal is utterly unreliable!!!

If you are travelling by car, the hotel is very conveniently located. It's a nice old building complex. The rooms are nicely made, with only the mattresses leaving much to be desired. The new owner Baboo and his family are very courteous and polite.
The mattresses!!!

Cozy village retreat
The place was all warm and comfy with clean linens and pretty beams. The hosts were super friendly. One downside is the room could use a little refresh. Enjoyed the bar area for casual drinks, too!

The chequers had a great location close to attractions like blenheim palace. The staff was really nice. Our double room was comfortable and clean, and the cooked breakfast was tasty too. We appreciated the inviting bar area for winding down in the evenings.
overall, a good stay but the bathroom needed some attention.
